Strategic Creativity

... a writer who knows when to color outside the lines, while staying on the right strategic page

Whatever the job, color it done! On target. On message. On time.

Whether you need no-frills collateral or nuanced creative, I'll apply years of professional agency, in-house and freelance writing expertise to every job.

I’ve sold GM tools, Duraflame logs, Sprint phone systems and Hallmark ornaments.

I've marketed private-label toys, regional tourism, real estate and health care. I've packaged and promoted cake mix, cookie dough, commercial bakery cases, and even the icing – literally – on the cake. I'll put that expertise to work for you.

Practical Perspective

"I am, by calling, a dealer in words; and words are, of course, the most powerful drug used by mankind" Rudyard Kipling

Words are a powerful drug … but only if used as prescribed.

I am a word doctor who doesn't believe in generic "one size fits all" prescriptions. It helps to view the world through client-colored glasses and from the end-user's perspective.

Sometimes, that's a bird's-eye view of the Walmart shopper who can spot ceramic eagle packaging from two aisles away. Other times, it's a worm's-eye view of imported fishing rods or a moth's-eye view of Duraflame logs. Whatever the job, I write with a bull's-eye view of the bottom line.

Full
Spectrum

I’ve sold everything but the kitchen sink … unless you count kitchen-faucets, kitchen knives, kitchen tile, kitchen remodeling ideas, food styling, food packaging and restaurant menus

I provide full-spectrum expertise. Black-and-white logic, plus the edge of having more colors in the box.

I’ve written about just about everything, from CAT scans to IRA plans, greenbelts to safety belts, English Tudors to Spanish Colonials.

Chocolates and chocolate factories, cookies and cookie jars, Christmas lights and Keepsake ornaments, telephone networks, commercial-refrigeration units and floral display cases.

Toys, tools, racetracks, riverboats, hospital bills, headache pills, ponies, puppies, and big microscopes the size of a small house.

I’ve written about legislative issues, healthcare services, tourism topics, and how to buy, sell, decorate or renovate a home. Pretty much the whole enchilada … plus the grocer that packages it, the wholesaler that sells it, the restaurant that serves it and the salsa that tops it.

Even if it doesn’t involve food, food service or anything remotely resembling a kitchen sink, I can customize my work to the unique requirements of your job.

Color it
Real

people are drowning in information, but starving for meaning–unknown

Missing something?

Start with black-and-white, inside-the-lines strategy, and then add customized color to your marketing challenges for unique and meaningful results.

Keep it simple. Keep it real. Make it count. Color it done!
